Alberta Beer Exchange was doing what every local beer, wine and liquor retailer did. They made their own digital signage, website materials and posted whenever they could to social media.
They gave us three months and free reign to create a brand image, brand personality and strengthen digital relationships.
So, what happened? We built them a brand image that their competitors and vendors aspired to. Not to mention, surpassing industry benchmarks for social media and a correlation to a 20% increase in sales.

The Master Plan
Question: Is having a dedicated marketing role justified for small businesses?
This is what we set out to find. It’s common knowledge that in most local brick and mortar shops, that owners wear multiple hats: accountant, sales associate, web developer, merchandiser, buyer, marketer. But, what happens when one of those roles is contracted out - the marketer.
We collaborated with ABX owners, Corey and Akosha to create a comprehensive communications strategy that aligned with their business goals and their business mantra: community, environment, people. Creating objectives that supported their mantra with the potential of earning sales, Wavelength Creatives developed digital signage, website materials and managed social media.
ABX saw instant results in being able to communicate their messages. They saw a correlation from marketing to sales. Their vendors began taking note of their new appearance. But most of all, ABX built deeper connections with their digital audiences - a key to long-term customers.
Earned Media
Alberta Beer Exchange opened their notifications to see a mention on DailyHives’ Top Local Advent Calendars. Forty-eight hours later, their advent calendars sold out. Coincidence? We think not.
“I can honestly say that without the video you created for the advent calendars, we wouldn’t have sold out. It’s because of that video and the brand image you created for us that we were included on that list.” – Akosha Baier, Co-founder, Alberta Beer Exchange
An increase in sales without advertising dollars spent – a business’s dream come true.
